Delete your account in the app
Nannies and babysitters

- Tap the You tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account (“Permanently delete your account”). You can also go to You, then Privacy, then Your Data, and tap Delete All Data.
- Read the “Delete your account?” list of what will be removed.
- Type DELETE in the “Type DELETE to confirm” box.
- Tap Delete Account. The app confirms “Your account was deleted” and returns to the welcome screen.
Parents
- Open NannyLog and sign in.
- Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, below Sign Out.
- Type DELETE in the “Type DELETE to confirm” box.
- Tap Delete Account.
Deletion happens straight away and cannot be undone. If you started as a guest, the same steps apply.
Ask us to delete it by email
If you cannot open the app, email jarrod@jandhtechnology.com with the subject “Delete my NannyLog account”. Write from the email address you signed up with so we can match it to your account, and say whether you were a nanny or a parent. We reply within 30 days. If you only ever used a guest account and never added an email address, we may be unable to match your request to an account, so delete it in the app instead.
What is deleted
If you are a nanny or babysitter
- Your account and sign-in.
- Every child profile you added, with its logs, photos, reports and incident reports.
- Your calendar events, hours, invoices, expenses and supply requests.
- Your messages with parents, and every family link. Parents lose access to what you shared.
- Your check-ins and notification settings (push tokens).
- Child photos and receipts you uploaded to storage.
If you are a parent
- Your account and your access to your family.
- Your messages with your nanny. These are removed for both of you.
- Your settings.
What is kept, and for how long
- A parent’s deletion does not remove the nanny’s records. Your nanny’s logs, reports and invoices stay with her.
- A few shared records that only point back to you, such as who sent an invitation, are kept with that reference cleared.
- Copies in our backups are removed when those backups expire.
- We keep information longer only where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.
- Purchase and billing records held by Apple or Google Play are theirs and are not deleted by us.
Shared family data
Information about a child belongs to the nanny who added the child profile. When a nanny deletes their account, those child profiles and everything logged under them are deleted, and the connected parents lose access to them. When a parent deletes their account, only the parent’s own account, access and messages are removed; the nanny keeps her records and the other connected adults are not affected.
If your account is linked to data that must be transferred before it can be deleted, the app shows “Account has data that must be transferred before deletion. Contact support.” Email us at the address above and we will help.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription
Subscriptions are billed by the store you subscribed through. Cancel there, or you may keep being charged after your account is gone.
- iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose NannyLog and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Android, if you subscribed through Google Play: open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose NannyLog and tap Cancel subscription.
