Source: https://nannydaily.com/privacy

This policy explains what NannyLog (formerly Nanny Daily) collects, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and how you delete it. NannyLog is made by J & H Technology LLC. It adds detail for NannyLog to the J & H Technology privacy policy at https://www.jandhtechnology.com/privacy; where the two differ for NannyLog, this page applies.

## What we collect

| Information | Where it comes from | Why |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name, email address and account ID | You, when you create an account | To run your account and connect nannies and parents |
| Information about the children in your care: names, photos, meals, naps, diapers, activities, milestones, incident reports and emergency contacts | The nanny or parent who enters it | To keep the child’s daily log and share it with that child’s parents |
| Messages between nannies and parents | You | To deliver your messages |
| Hours, rates, invoices and expenses | The nanny | To track time and produce invoices for the family |
| Location at check-in | Your device, only when you use GPS check-in and allow location while using the app | To show parents the caregiver arrived |
| Subscription status | Apple | To unlock Premium |
| Crash reports | The app, when it crashes | To fix bugs. Names, messages and other personal details are removed before a report is sent |

NannyLog is not directed to children and children do not use it. Information about children is entered by their nanny or parents, is shared only with the adults connected to that child in the app, and is never used for advertising.

## What we do not do

- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and the app contains no advertising.
- We do not use photos for facial recognition. Photo moderation checks only whether an image is explicit or violent.
- On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, report drafts are written on your device; your notes are not sent to an AI service for drafting, and the caregiver reviews every draft before sending it.
- Push notifications contain no message text, amounts or details of a child’s day; you see those in the app.

## Services that process data for us

| Service | What it does | Data it handles |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Supabase | Hosts our database, sign-in and file storage | All account and app data |
| Apple | In-app purchases and push delivery | Purchase status and push tokens |
| Expo | Routes push notifications to Apple | Push tokens and notification text |
| Google Cloud Vision (SafeSearch) | Screens uploaded photos for explicit or violent content | The photo being checked |
| Sentry | Crash reporting | Crash details with personal information removed |
| Vercel | Hosts this website | Standard web request logs |

## How long we keep it

- Account information and the records you create are kept while your account is active.
- You can delete any log, report, invoice or photo you created at any time in the app.
- Deleting your account in Settings removes your account and the records you created, including children you added, logs, reports, check-ins, photos and messages. Copies in our backups are removed when those backups expire.
- We keep information longer only where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.

## Your choices and rights

- See and correct your information in the app.
- Turn off location for NannyLog in iOS Settings. GPS check-in then stops, but clocking in and everything else keeps working.
- Turn off notifications in iOS Settings or in the app.
- Ask for a copy of your information or its deletion by emailing jarrod@jandhtechnology.com. We reply within 30 days.

## Security and breach notification

Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted by row-level security, so each account can read only the records it is connected to. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any authorities the law requires without undue delay, saying what happened, what information was involved and what you can do.
