# Daily reports parents actually read

> NannyLog turns the day’s logs into a short daily report for the parents. On supported iPhones it can draft the summary with Apple Intelligence on the device, and parents get a push notification when the report is sent.

- Add highlights and up to five photos before you send
- Parents get a push notification and can open the report in their free parent app

## Why a daily report matters

Parents who are at work all day want to know three things: did my child eat, did they sleep, and were they happy. A consistent end-of-day report answers those questions before they are asked, and it builds the kind of trust that keeps a nanny or babysitter in a job for years.

## How it works in NannyLog

1. Log the day as it happens with one-tap entries for meals, naps, diapers, activities and milestones.
2. At the end of the shift, open Write Report. The day’s activity summary is filled in for you.
3. Tap Draft with AI on a supported iPhone, or write a few lines yourself. Add highlights and photos.
4. Send. The parents receive a push notification and the report appears in their NannyLog app.

## Private by design

The AI draft uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models, so your notes about the child are not sent to a third-party AI service to write the summary. On devices without Apple Intelligence you simply write the report yourself; everything else works the same.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do parents need to pay to read daily reports?

No. Parents use NannyLog free. They download the app, enter the invite code their nanny sends, and receive reports, photos and messages.

### Which iPhones can use the AI report draft?

The AI draft uses Apple Intelligence, which needs iOS 26 or later on a device that supports it. On other devices you can still write and send reports manually.

Meals, naps, diapers, activities, milestones and photos are each a tap or two, timestamped, and visible to the child’s parents in their own app.
- [Nanny–parent messaging](https://nannydaily.com/features/parent-messaging) (Free and Premium): NannyLog has built-in messaging between the nanny or babysitter and the child’s parents, so updates, questions and photos stay next to the child’s log instead of in personal text threads.
